形態特徵

• A medium-sized tree, buds pubescent.
• Leaves 5–6 jugate, 30–35 cm long, the rachis stout, pubescent; leaflets firm, with pellucid lines and dots, coriaceous, oblanceolate or ovate-oblong, inequilateral acute to obtuse at base, cuspidate or acuminate at apex, obtuse at extremity, 11–15 cm long, 3–4.5 cm broad, the terminal one much smaller, glabrous on both surfaces, the lateral veins about 12 on each side of the midrib, impressed above, distinctly elevated beneath; petiolules about 5 mm long, slightly pubescent, swollen at base.
• Inflorescence on super axillary, many flowered, long panicles, 35–45 cm long (including the peduncles); the axis pubescent; pedicels 1–2 mm long, pubescent; calyx disc-shaped, nearly entire, slightly pubescent, 1.5–2 mm long; petals 4, obovate linear, about 7 mm long, 1.5 mm broad, nearly glabrous; staminal tube cylindrical, about 6 mm long, glabrous without, villose within, 7–8 lobed, the lobes oblong, 1.5–1.8 mm long; anthers 7–8, oblong, about 2 mm long, glabrous; ovary globose, densely villose, the style slightly exserted, stout, villose, toward the lower part, the stigma capitate.
• Capsule globose about 4 cm across, red, 3-valved, 3-seeded.

分布

• 台灣 : in Is. Lanyu only.
• 世界 : Thailand, Burma, Malay Peninsula, Malacca, the Philippines, Sumatra, Java, S. Borneo.
